Hello! My name is DIEGO! I am 4 – 5 months old pit mix. I am a big loving, goofy boy! I love going on long walks with my foster fur-sister and jogging with my foster mommy. I was pulled out of a shelter and came to live with my foster family and they love me so much! I am learning new tricks every day and my foster dad says I am super smart. I absolutely love toys and I want them all for me, so sometimes my fur-sister get a little upset but we are working on how to share.  Did I mention my family has two cats! I just want play with them but they are not big fans so I just run away when they tell me to go.  I am an expert on giving kisses! I love kissing everyone. I also have a lot of energy so I need a family that will keep working on my training and like to play  Another one of my best skills is snuggling on the couch with whoever is up to do it with me. That being said, I don’t enjoy being alone in my crate. I will cry for about 10 minutes then I will sleep calmly the rest of the time I am there. I am still having a few accidents here and there but I am getting better on my potty training every day! If you are looking for a fun, smart, lovely big boy? I am your guy!   If you are interested in DIEGO or any of our dogs, you must live in the greater Cincinnati, OH area. FINN is a playful, affectionate, spunky 4 month-old bull terrier mix (guessing there might be some yellow lab in there as well) who is an absolute ham. He loves being the center of attention, and is always ready to play! Some of his favorite activities are playing tug-of-war with his rope toys, pulling all the fluff out of stuffed animals, and playing fetch in the yard. He adores other dogs and, when he is not chasing his dog-siblings around the yard, he is quick to snuggle in between them for a quick nap. People joke that Finn is part bunny as he hops up and down when he is really happy! In true puppy fashion, he loves every human he has come in contact with, and will cover anyone and everyone in kisses! Finn, although full of puppy energy, is truly sweet-natured and is a fantastic cuddle partner. His favorite napping spot is either snuggled against another dog, or on the nearest lap. He is crate trained and has been sleeping through the whole night. He is mostly potty trained (still a few accidents when he gets really excited, like when grandpa comes over!), and knows sit and paw. We are working on leash training, and although he doesn’t quite get the concept yet, he loves being outside. He has not been tested around cats, but would be a wonderful addition to a family with kids and other dogs.   If you are interested in FINN or any of our dogs, you must live in the greater Cincinnati, OH area. LILA is 1.5 year old female pit bull mix who craves attention and is eager to please. She is a playful, people-oriented dog who loves to play fetch and run sprints through the yard, but is also a super snuggler and fantastic TV-watching partner. She thrives in a home with other large dogs to play with, and she also is well-behaved with smaller dogs and cats. She doesn’t quite understand her size (approximately 55 pounds) and would do well in a home with older children due to her energetic nature. She is also crate trained and knows her basic commands.  If you are interested in LILA or any of our dogs, you must live in the greater Cincinnati, OH area. Hi my name is Opal but my Foster family calls me Opie! I'm about 4.5 months old. I came to the shelter as an owner surrender and was lucky enough to be pulled by Adore-A-Bull and placed with my current foster family who I love very much (but let's be honest I pretty much love all people and puppers!). My Foster family has cats and at first I was scared of them but now I really want to play with them. My Foster mom says the cats don't want to play with me, so we're working on that. I'm seeking a family that wants to give me as much love as I want to give them. One of my favorite things to do when I love you is cover you in a million, zillion kisses. I enjoy playing with my toys and my four legged Foster brother is my bestest friend. We like to play together until we get so tired that we pass out. It's very important that I have a lot of toys to play with because I won't lie... I like to destroy things when I can't find a good toy! My typical day is wake up, eat, potty, play with Foster brother, snuggle with Foster parents, pass out and repeat. I'm mostly potty trained and my Foster parents say I do really well in my crate! They said I even sleep through the whole night! If all of this sounds good to you, maybe a puppy like me would be a good addition to your family!?! MINA is a sweet little tootsie roll that just can’t be close enough to you! She is a snuggly pit mix that is about 5 years old. She came from the shelter after being there over 3 months – and it may not have been her first time there. Despite having a past without stability, she meshed right in at her foster home. We don't know what Mina's past was like, but we can assume that she never had toys of her own before. Due to this, Mina does best with toys that she can interact with on her own and that don't have to be shared with other dogs. She gets along well with her two fur foster brothers & enjoys playing outside with them. She also can’t be close enough to her foster parents – following them around the house & snuggling up on the couch. Although her crate isn’t her favorite place to be (she’d much rather be right next to you), she has no problems going in overnight and while her foster parents are at work. She’s working on basic commands and is learning them well. She loves taking walks outside and is working on her leash manners. If you are looking for a snuggly, sweet girl to add to your family, or a companion to play with your current pups, Mina would love to get to know you! We don’t know how she is around cats or children – although she’s never met a person she didn’t love. If you are interested in MINA or any of our dogs, you must live in the greater Cincinnati, OH area. Please go to www.adoreabull.org/interested to learn how to start an adoption process. JACK is a roughly 1.5 year old male who is the perfect combination of snuggles and play. Jack was found by the dog warden as a stray, and spent a couple of months at the shelter before being rescued by AABR. Because he likely has never had a family to call his own, he was initially a bit timid about his new surroundings, but has transitioned into his foster family's home beautifully. He loves playing with his four-legged foster siblings; nothing is more fun for Jack than zooming around the back yard and letting the other dogs chase him. But he also loves curling up with his foster parents for some snuggles, or keeping himself occupied with a bone or toy on his bed. Jack doesn't miss a move his foster parents make, and follows them throughout the house like a shadow. Even though Jack is rather petite, he doesn't quite understand his own energy or the space he consumes. Because of that, Jack is not recommended for homes with small children. Jack has also met his foster family's cat, and while curious, has done very well with their introductions. If you are looking for a fun, silly boy to add to your family, or a companion to play with your current dog, Jack may be the perfect addition. MAXIMILIAN was rescued in late December 2016 from terrible conditions from severe neglect and brought to the attention of Adore-A-Bull rescue when his 'owners' brought him in to be euthanized for no reason other than they didn't have time for him. While we don't know much about his first four years of life, we do know that he absolutely loves his people! Although he does not do well with other dogs, he adores his human family. He is completely content to just hang out, watch TV, sit on the porch, or do just about anything the family does, His favorite activity is taking walks. He walks politely on a leash while he watches everything around him. Sometimes he even takes a toy with him! Max loves carrots, strawberries, and other natural snacks that are good for him and his special diet. He is completely house and crate trained and has been professionally trained as well. Max is a very enthusiastic dog that loves to get out and train/work. (Although his attention span is rather short! ha!). Max is very happy-go-lucky guy who will be the perfect addition to a family that has experience with dogs, but is currently without one. Hayden (FKA Barry Larkin) is back. We love this gentle soul, and wish his first forever home would have worked out, but sometimes that just doesn’t happen. However, our arms are always open to our dogs, and certainly his former fosters were happy to love on him again. Hayden is a beautiful four year old, brindle pittie mix. This sweet guy can be a little shy when you first meet him, but once he gets to know you, his favorite place is with his humans. Hayden has some issues with separation anxiety, but has been working hard on it through training and learning to trust that his humans will come back for him. He is fully trained and knows various commands and is happy just hanging out on his bed. He is house trained and will always let you know when it's time to go out. As of right now, we believe Hayden would do best as an only dog where he can be the apple of his owner’s eye. Hayden, has not been around small children or cats, so we aren’t sure how he would react. It is our feeling that, perhaps, older children who understand how to be gentle with dogs would be ok. Hayden will need a patient and understanding family that is willing to work with AABR to give him the best balance and continue his training. He has been through a full board and train program and is comfortable with all the people at Pet Athletic Club who have helped us transition him back into his foster home. Follow up and continued training will be a requirement withHayden…but trust us…he will be worth it! He’s a special boy and we know is true forever home is out there. RUSTY is finally ready to meet the world! This cutie pie is about 1 1/2 years old and has a had a rough start in life so far, but that is now turning around! A good samaritan found him as a stray this summer and it was soon discovered that he was battling heartworm disease. Heartworm disease can be fatal if untreated, and the course of treatment can be very painful and difficult for dogs, requiring several weeks of strict crate rest. Unfortunately for Rusty, he had a severe allergic reaction to a medication used to kill heartworms, which delayed further treatment and extended his recovery by an extra month. Rusty is ball of energy, and no doubt all this crate rest has given him a case of cabin fever! While he is excellent in a crate (calm, quiet, no messes, doesn't tear up bedding), he can't wait to get out and explore! Rusty is athletic but just a little guy at 40 lbs, so you wouldn't guess he has the strength of superman! He is finally cleared to begin training and is learning proper leash etiquette and basic commands. He is attentive and seems like he will be a quick learner. We aren't sure yet how Rusty is with other dogs or cats since he is just coming off activity restrictions. He gets overly worked up when he sees new dogs while in a cage or on leash, but he shows little interest in the cats or dogs that he is familiar with in his foster home. Rusty is a sweetheart with people and craves attention. Stay tuned for updates as we get to know the real Rusty better!
